The approach
Interior design is not only about how a room looks: it is about how people live in it. At Kairós we conceive every project from the architecture outwards, examining the structure, the light and the materials to arrive at a composition that is coherent and lasting.
We apply that approach to whole-house renovations and to new builds alike, across Málaga and the Costa del Sol, folding the interior design in from the very start of the process.
Types of project
In a city where light and climate shape everyday life, we work to strengthen the relationship between inside and out. Contemporary homes and second residences that make the most of daylight, cross ventilation and local materials such as stone and timber.
Málaga holds both historic fabric and contemporary architecture. We work in each, respecting the original character of the building while bringing in current thinking on efficiency, comfort and appearance.
The city's tourism and hospitality sectors keep growing. We design interiors for shops, hotels and holiday apartments, with proposals that are functional, sustainable and true to each brand's identity.
Context
Designing in Málaga means understanding its light, its climate and its way of living. Our projects suit the urban setting of the historic centre as readily as residential neighbourhoods, and we also work across the province, where design has to converse with Mediterranean architecture.
How we work
Our process holds technical rigour and creativity together. Every project starts with a study of the space, its setting and its use. From there we develop a bespoke concept and realise it through technical documentation, renders and site supervision, working with local suppliers and craftspeople.
A first meeting to understand your objectives, the way you live, your taste and your budget. We visit the space to assess what is possible and define the scope.
We develop the proposal with 3D renders, a selection of materials and a detailed quote with no hidden costs. We refine it in response to your comments.
We produce the technical drawings, specifications and documentation, and we handle the licences and permits so that everything complies.
We coordinate every trade, supervise the execution and resolve whatever comes up, keeping you informed of progress throughout.
A final quality inspection, handover of the technical documentation and guarantees, and continued support for any issue or maintenance afterwards.
